Introducing, Linh Pham – Head of Marketing, Coinhako

The newest member of our growing family, Linh, joins Coinhako following seven years of experience in driving the expansion of some of Asia’s most prominent and interesting startups during their early growth phases.

As our Head of Marketing, Linh aims to help redefine the way digital currency transactions are managed and secured across Asia.

On why she chose to join us

“I was attracted by the prospect of working within the emerging digital currency and blockchain markets, particularly due to Coinhako’s position as Singapore’s leading Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet provider. I had reservations about joining initially; my friends and family were concerned about the volatile price fluctuations facing digital currencies and thought it was an unstable industry to work in.”

“I had such a good first impression of Yusho and Gerry when I met them; I saw two passionate entrepreneurs who were affable, humble and talented. After my interviews with them, where we discussed market expansion and product development plans, I learnt that we shared the same business vision and leadership philosophy. Linh has a knack for identifying young innovative tech firms with strong disruptive potential. After graduating from Australia’s RMIT University, she began her career as a marketing executive with the Vietnamese operations of e-commerce giant Lazada, back during its infancy as a venture by Germany-based Rocket Internet. While her official duties centred around organising online marketing campaigns alongside developing CRM and loyalty programmes, Linh’s strong people skills and proficiency in recognising talent saw her assisting Lazada’s then Managing Director hire senior staff to build the e-commerce platform’s nascent local team.

It wasn’t long before Linh’s reputation circulated within Vietnam’s young startup scene. After two years with Lazada, she was personally headhunted by Singapore-based dating and social networking platform Paktor to become its Marketing Manager for Vietnam, eventually making Country Manager only six months later.

But cornering the local market wasn’t enough for Linh, who’s always wanted to apply her skills internationally. In her third year with Paktor, she became its Regional Marketing Director, building and managing a team of 16 people across Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Korea. Having developed significant expertise in team and project management across different markets, Linh was assigned to Paktor Labs, where she managed the development, acquisition and acceleration of early-stage social apps from the US, parts of Europe and Taiwan.

“As we shift our focus to building our presence in the surrounding regional markets, Linh’s marketing knowledge and experience in Southeast Asia’s tech startup space makes her the perfect person to steer Coinhako into new markets!” – Yusho, co-founder, on Linh joining the team.

Growing young teams and sussing out new market frontiers requires Linh to always be sharp in both body and mind. “I spend most of my free time at the gym and in dance classes. I also have weekly boxing sessions with the Coinhako team, which apart from helping us bond as a team after-hours, is also an effective way to help iron out the stresses of our everyday grind!”
