Watch Out! These Encounters Are Scam Attempts!

Watch Out! These Encounters Are Scam Attempts!

The number of online scams have been growing across the internet in recent years. The cryptocurrency space, like many other industries that operate online, continue to be a target for these bad actors; Coinhako users are definitely no exception from this.

Due to the irreversible nature of crypto currency transactions, Coinhako will not be able to recover any funds sent to scammers.

We would once again, like to remind all our users to remain vigilant, and evaluate all transactions before processing it. Cryptocurrency scams are particularly painful.

As the security of your funds and data on our platform is a priority, here is a list with some of the more common scam attempts that all Coinhako users might encounter.  This should provide you with added knowledge to ramp up your vigilance, while online.

Scammers posing as Coinhako Admins

Customer support at coinhako will only be communicated via:

  1. Our official hello@coinhako.com email address
  2. Tickets raised through our official support portal
  3. Our official Telegram announcement channel
  4. Emails that are registered with a @coinhako.com domain

Any other forms of communication, no matter how legitimate they may seem, IS NOT US!

If anyone messages you on Telegram, contacts you via email, SMS, phone calls or any other way, claiming to be a Coinhako admin or support staff, DO NOT listen or respond to them!

They are most likely scammers.

Coinhako account upgrade/unlock fees

We will NEVER ask you to send us cryptocurrencies or any other currencies for fees. Read the details below to ensure that you never fall prey to these cryptocurrency scams on Telegram:

We do NOT charge users any fees for:

  • Account unlocks
  • Fiat deposits
  • KYC approval
  • Sending/cancelling any pending transactions
  • Or any other services not stated

Fees that we charge for services such as trading and withdrawals, are automatically deducted from your Coinhako balance.

No additional transaction(s) will have to be made.

Investment and Mining Scams

You know the old saying, “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is”?

There is a growing number of online services that claim to guarantee a profit via trading, mining, or some other investment service.

More often than not, these are scams. The culprits behind these schemes will either take your money and run, or use it to facilitate some form of a ponzi/multi-level marketing scheme.

We strongly advise against sending funds to anyone claiming guaranteed and instant profits.

You should only trade via reputable services, such as Coinhako, always run a due diligence check on any platform(s) before using its services.

A little extra effort comes a long way in protecting your data, funds, and your overall well-being.
