3. New format for Bitcoin Cash addresses (Important!)

We have updated the format for all Bitcoin Cash (BCH) addresses, on our platform, for your benefit and convenience.

You will now see all BCH addresses, on Coinhako, labeled with ‘bitcoincash:” next to the public key in addition to a new format for the public key.

To receive any BCH in your Coinhako BCH wallet:

i) Look out for the ‘bitcoincash:’ label before sharing your address.
ii) You may copy either the full string of text (‘bitcoincash:’ + public key) or just the Public Key to process the transaction.

Please note that some wallets may not accept bitcoincash: as part of the address. If you are using such a wallet, simply copy the portion after :.

If you are unfamiliar with receiving cryptocurrencies in your Coinhako wallet, you can visit the following guides.

  1. Sending & Receiving Cryptocurrencies (Web)
  2. Sending & Receiving Cryptocurrencies (Android)
  3. Sending & Receiving Cryptocurrencies (IOS)

We would like to remind everyone that only cryptocurrencies of the same kind should be sent between addresses.  For example, BCH addresses do not support (BTC) and vice versa. Always ensure and do a thorough check that addresses are correct before processing any transactions.
