What is the ETH Muir Glacier Fork?
The ETH Muir Glacier Fork, is the next network upgrade for Ethereum. The upgrade was proposed to address the impending 'Ice Age' update, which would cause a significant slowdown of the Ethereum network.
The main idea behind ETH's 'Ice Age' was to discourage miners to continue with proof of work (POW) after ETH has transitioned to Proof of Stake. The hashing difficulty in the mining algorithm used to reward miners would increase significantly and would cause a slowdown in the production of blocks in the ETH network.
After the Glacier Muir Hard Fork maintenance window is over, all ETH and ERC20 related services will resume and users may trade on Coinhako as per normal.
